Hey all! I've been hiding under a doormat for the past 10 years, because I've just discovered these wonderful books in the past two weeks and cannot get enough! (The show, too, but that's a whole other ballgame.) Right now, I'm on the first chapter of Definitely Dead.

Question, and sorry if it's been much-covered...what is the best way to read all the short stories? Are they all published together? They don't seem to be with the other Sookie books, at least not at my local book store.

I just got back from the Strand Bookstore, picking up some of Charlaine's Harper Connelly books, when I stumbled across something lovely....

I immediately scooped it up and left a happy shopper :D
I'm going to start it tonight and let you know if it lives up to our expectations!

I'm also ridiculously excited to have it in advance since I'm going to Charlaine's Q&A in Union Square the day it's actually supposed to be released. So now I'll be armed with better questions about Sookie and everyone else's futures!!!

Worlds: Real Life and the Sookie Stackhouse novels.

I was just watching yesterday(Dec. 3, 2009)'s episode of The Colbert Report, and there was a segment on the US Winter Olympics teams. The Skeleton team includes a guy named Zach Lund.

Did anybody else see this and go "Quinn!"?
Maybe not the right skin tone, but the tallness, the baldness, the physicality and joie de vivre were perfect for a great big were-tiger, right?

Ok, I just had to ask this:

What are people's opinions about the new short story collection. Considering all the stories have been published before, how many people already own them in a different form? I have the book on order from the SciFi bookclub because I didn't by all the various collections that the stories were originally printed in, but I was wondering what other folks think.
